The theory is that there are two different Sides to the brain, each controlling different modes of thinking.Each of these hemispheres of the brain has distinct influences on our method of thinking.The left brain is logical, sequential,rational, analytical and objective.The right brain is random, intuitive,holistic, creative and subjective.
Most of us have a distict preference for one of these styles of thinking.Some however are more wjole brained and equally able to employ both modes.In great academic environments favour left brain modes of thinking but it can be very valuable to develop right brain ability, thus enabling a more balanced view of each oppurtunity and also a more empathetic underdtanding of the viewsof others, who might well be more right brained than you.
